The sanctuary of Sheick Hussein offers the unique opportunity to get close to the surprising world of Sufism, a particular mystical Islamic practice that has a great number of followers in Eastern Ethiopia. Placed in a remote area, it’s the ideal destination for those travellers looking for an atypical and exciting cultural experience, especially when it coincides with the annual celebrations that bring thousands of pilgrims to the sanctuary.
