The savannah ecosystem characterizes the landscape of this interesting parc, that offers some of the most amazing views of the Rift valley. Wildlife are abundant in general, even if spotting the rarest species like lions is not easy; a lot of herbivores (Oryx, gazelles, great and minor kudu) can be easily found in a game drive, and a large variety of birds. But the most amazing spectacle is the waterfall of Awash river where big Nile Crocodile swim lazily.
ACCOMODATION STANDARD: There are two interesting lodges in the park, their facility standard is medium but the spot they are placed is amazing. In the city of Awash only medium-low hotels are found.
WEATHER: The area of Awash park is generally quite dry, but most of the rains are concentrated in April-May and then in July-August. It is possible to travel and enjoy the visit year round. Temperatures range between 15º at night to a maximum of 36º in the daytime.
